Course Description
Overview: This three–day course teaches participants skills necessary to build DITA based templates using Structured FrameMaker. This course is developed specifically for clients requiring users to work with DITA based templates using either your own templates, or files provided in the FrameMaker DITA environment.
Delivery: An instructor–led, group–paced, classroom–delivery learning model with structured hands–on activities and assignments.
Courses are also available for private online delivery.
Materials: Participants receive reference materials related to course topics. Follow up support by email or phone, on topics covered, is available to participants for 90 days.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion attendees will be able to:- Create and manage templates using DITA
- Add, modify, or delete tags using the Paragraph, Character and Table Designers
- Build number systems for heading, lists, tables, figures and more
- Develop master pages with automated layout based on formats used in a document
- Insert and modify running headers and footers
- Work with a variety of reference pages to configure the appearance of content in standard template files and generated materials (TOC, Index and more)
- Create conditional content to manage multiple file versions from a single document
- Develop cross–references for use within documents or between files
- Manage color definitions
- Create and modify references to formatting by configuring the DITA EDD
